Coming Soon: My IKEA Kitchen Installation Guide

The question I hear most

“Can I install my IKEA kitchen myself?”

Yes, with the right guidance.

For years, people have asked me that same question. My answer has always been yes, with the right guidance. After installing more than 340 IKEA kitchens, I’ve learned that most DIY problems don’t come from a lack of skill. They come from not knowing what’s coming next.

A measurement that’s slightly off
A panel ordered in the wrong size
A rail that isn’t level
A filler nobody planned for

None of these needs special talent to avoid. They need knowing what to check, and when. So I’ve decided to put everything I know into one place.

Introducing the DIY IKEA Kitchen Installation Guide

The IKEA Kitchen Installation Guides course shown on two phones

A complete, step-by-step guide from the first measurement to the final cabinet handle. Made for first-time DIYers, so no installation experience needed.

  • Planning and ordering: measure your space, check your layout and get your IKEA order right the first time.
  • Delivery and preparation: review your order, track deliveries, sort the boxes and get your room ready.
  • Video guidance for the tricky parts: rails, panels, cabinet lighting, adjustments and finishing.
  • Troubleshooting: proven solutions for leveling, finding studs and custom modifications.
  • An AI kitchen coach: answers based on my methods whenever you’re stuck. (It isn’t me personally, but it’s built on how I work.)
And yes: installing your IKEA kitchen yourself does not affect IKEA’s product warranty.

Why not just watch my YouTube videos?

You can, and many of you do! My videos are great for learning individual techniques. But a complete kitchen has many moving parts, and it’s easy to get lost jumping from video to video. The guide puts everything in the right order for your project, so you always know the next step.

Built for North American SEKTION kitchens

The guide focuses on IKEA’s SEKTION system, the one sold in Canada and the US. That’s the system I install, so everything in the guide comes from real projects, not theory.
